But it is the cervical area that is the most vulnerable, as it is the least protected, and at the same time it is constantly on the move, experiencing enormous loads. And the reality of modern life has contributed to a way of life that is far from beneficial to the health of the spine. After all, to be completely honest, we have to admit that every year humanity moves less and less. For most of us, work involves eight hours of sitting. So, while preparing this article, I am sitting in front of the computer, and you, reading it, are also sitting. So from day to day we sit in the office, move by transport, at home all the work for us is done by household appliances, and we rest. From what? "Movement is life" is a well-known phrase. At the same time, we can say with a certain accuracy: movement is a healthy spine. Cervical osteochondrosis is getting younger. Today, it is not uncommon for a young man in his thirties to complain of neck pain. But pain is not the only symptom of the disease.
Symptoms
First, the pain occurs when moving the head, body, arms.
Severe headache that cannot be relieved even after taking pain pills.
Along with headaches, vague multicolored spots or flickering "flies" may appear in front of the eyes.
Dizziness is also a common symptom of cervical osteochondrosis.
Chest pain. At the same time, it may seem like heart pain. Here it is important not to confuse osteochondrosis and angina pectoris. With the latter, the pain in the heart will react in the left arm. The patient unconsciously has a feeling of fear of death. In osteochondrosis, nothing like this happens.
Causes
Surprisingly, doctors today admit that they cannot fully explain all the causes that lead to the disease. But at the same time, they list the main ones, from which it becomes clear that often a person is to blame for such a disease as cervical osteochondrosis.
For reasons beyond our control, we include heredity and age. You need to take this into account and do not forget about prevention if you are at risk so as not to fall victim to the disease.

- Rubbing an infusion of wormwood into the cervical spine will help. For infusion, pour a spoonful of dry wormwood into a thermos and pour three hundred ml of boiling water. After a two-hour infusion, strain, cool slightly and rub it into the affected area several times a day.
- Lilac tincture is used in many diseases, but is most often recommended for problems with the musculoskeletal system. It should be prepared in the spring, during the period of abundant flowering of lilacs, and stored as needed. Transfer one hundred grams of freshly picked lilac brushes to a glass jar and add a liter of good forty-degree vodka. Put the jar in a dark cupboard for a week and a half. Strain, pour the tincture into a clean bottle and use for daily rubbing.
- Rubbing garlic-based will alleviate the condition of osteochondrosis. Peel the garlic and fill two hundred grams of peeled clove puree with a bottle of vodka. Insist a week in a dark closet. Shake the tincture every day. Strain to avoid burns when using and rub the painful areas with tincture.
- If your onion grows on your window - great! Tear off one leaf each night, rinse it, cut and rub the cervical vertebrae with the pulp of the plant. Lie down immediately after the procedure. The pain should decrease almost immediately.
- Dissolve a mummy tablet in a little water and combine with a spoonful of honey. In the evening, just before bedtime, massage the mixture into the skin above the cervical spine. Then apply a small amount of honey on the compress towel and fasten it to the back of the neck. Leave until morning.
- Prepare a mixture of iodine tincture and camphor alcohol - ten ml and three hundred ml of medical alcohol. Rub the healing mixture every night for a week.
Ointments
- For hop ointment, take a spoonful of softened butter as a base and mash it with a spoonful of dry hop cone powder. Then apply a thin layer on the cervical spine, apply a waterproof material and a woolen bandage on top, hold it for thirty minutes to an hour.
- Crush juniper needles and bay leaves into powder. Pour one tablespoon of powder into two tablespoons of softened natural oil. Connect carefully. Then do the same as with the hop ointment.
- The following ointment recipe is also based on butter. Take a spoonful of dry powder as fillers: celandine, mint, calendula and hops. The method of preparation and use is the same as in the previous recipes.
- Prepare an ointment with equal volumes of camphor alcohol, vodka and mustard powder. Separate the egg whites from three eggs and beat them, add to the prepared mixture and rub thoroughly. It is recommended to use the ointment in the evening before bedtime. After application on the skin around the neck, a warm towel should be tied.
- And at the end of the ointment topic there is another oil-based product. Peel a medium head of garlic, about the same lump of oil and a ginger root about the same size as the garlic. Chop the garlic and ginger and rub in softened butter. Rub the ointment every night before bed and very soon the pain will stop bothering you.
Compresses
- Anesthetic compress is prepared from an infusion of burdock. Chop the dried burdock leaves and add one tablespoon to two hundred ml of boiled water. After half an hour, drain, soak the compress in the infusion and apply on the back of the neck. Cover with waterproof material and a warm towel. Lie down for about twenty minutes. After removing the compress, isolate the application site.
- Prepare an elderberry tincture that can be used for both compression and rubbing. Lightly mash one hundred and fifty grams of elderberry fruit and fill with a bottle of high quality vodka. After a week of infusion, strain. Before applying the compress, take fifty ml of tincture, dilute one hundred and fifty ml of clean warm water and, moistening the compress towel, apply it for half an hour, warming it with a woolen bandage on top. If you use the tincture for grinding, it is not necessary to dilute it with water.
- Leave on the herbal compress overnight. Take equal parts dried roots of dandelion and burdock and St. John's wort. Grind and mix the raw materials. Pour a spoonful of the collection into two hundred ml of hot water and, placing on the stove, boil for five minutes. When cool, strain. Fix the towel soaked in broth on the back of the neck with a warming bandage.
- It is very easy to treat osteochondrosis with horseradish. You don't have to insist or cook it. Tear off a fresh leaf, immerse it in hot water and immediately attach it to the cervical vertebrae with a warm towel. Leave it overnight. If you feel burning, do not worry, it should be.
- Will help in the treatment of cottage cheese, preferably homemade. Prepare a piece of compressed cloth, spread the curd on it in an even layer, sprinkle it lightly with vinegar and place it on the back of the neck, securing it with a warm bandage. Healers recommend that the cottage cheese compress be kept overnight.
- For a compress, peel a small potato tuber and grate it. Add a spoonful of honey to the mashed potatoes, stir. Spread the mixture on the compress tissue and fix it on the problem area of the spine for one and a half to two hours.
- Prepare the aloe and squeeze the juice - it will take fifty ml. Combine fresh aloe juice with 100 to fifty ml of vodka and 100 grams of honey. Spread an even layer on a compressive cloth and apply on the cervical spine for an hour.
- Refined kerosene is an excellent heating agent. They should soak a compress towel, apply to the sore spot, then waterproof material and a warming bandage. The exposure time of the kerosene compress is not longer than one hour.
Orally
- Prepare a decoction of sunflower roots. Take dry roots, grind them and measure a full glass. Pour three liters of hot water over the roots, place on the stove and boil for three minutes after boiling. Drink the cooled and strained broth of two hundred ml three times a day, after breakfast, lunch and dinner for three days. If the cooking time of the roots is increased to five minutes, you will get another effect from its intake - the removal of salts from the body. You will need to cook and drink the broth every day for thirty days. After about twenty days you will notice that the urine has become dark in color - this is normal - the process has begun. Continue to take until the color of the urine returns to normal.
- Garlic infusion with lemon will restore mobility and eliminate pain. Rinse three lemons and cut together with the peel. Peel and chop one hundred and fifty grams of garlic cloves. Transfer everything to a glass jar and pour a liter of boiled water. Once the infusion has cooled, it is ready for use. In the morning, immediately after waking up, take one hundred and twenty-five ml of infusion after mixing it.
- A mixture of vegetable juices, honey with the addition of vodka gives an excellent healing effect. As vodka is a good preservative, the mixture can be prepared for future use and stored in the refrigerator. First take the juice from the aloe leaves. Measure its volume and mix with the same amount of black radish juice. Add liquid honey (if thickened, heat it on a steam bath until it liquefies) in an amount equal to half the volume of aloe juice. Mix thoroughly and pour the same amount of vodka. Stir again, pour into a clean glass jar. It is recommended to drink the product in the morning, after waking up, one spoon.
- Cut parsley root. Boil two spoons in two glasses of water for an hour. The cooled and strained broth, one spoonful, should be taken twice a day - in the morning, on an empty stomach and in the evening, before bedtime.
- Parsley does a good job of removing salt from the joints, so it's included in the collection of fifty grams of parsley, nettle leaves, chamomile flowers, hop cones and a hundred grams of burdock, taken each. Grind the ingredients, pour two cups of boiled water, close the containers and leave for three days. Pour the strained infusion into a clean container and cool. It should be treated for a week and a half, taking twice a day - morning and evening on a spoon.
- It is no less effective in osteochondrosis and celery. Take a piece of root weighing about three grams and after grinding it, transfer it to a liter of boiling water. Insist at night. Strain in the morning. You should drink one tablespoon three times a day before main meals.
- Folk healers also do not neglect sesame, given its healing properties due to its rich mineral content. There is no need to boil it or insist. It is gentle to simply eat a spoonful of sesame seeds twice a day and you will quickly compensate for the lack of calcium and potassium in your body.
- To relieve the pain of osteochondrosis three times a day pine bud syrup. In the spring, when the pine has grown, collect young buds, rinse them and dry them. Then chop them finely and after measuring the volume of the kidneys, add sugar twice. Mix well, transfer to a clean glass jar and refrigerate for fourteen days. After the allotted time, the syrup should turn brown. Take a spoonful of syrup in your mouth, but do not swallow it immediately and suck it, then swallow it. It is recommended to be treated with pine syrups for three weeks.
- Folk healers have also adopted birch buds in the fight against osteochondrosis. Put a spoonful of birch buds in a liter of boiled water, close the jars with a lid and allow to cool completely. Strain and drink the infusion throughout the day, dividing it into four equal portions.
- Cranberry leaves contain substances that have anti-inflammatory action. Three tablespoons of dry crushed blueberry leaves, pour two hundred and fifty ml of boiling water. After about two hours, strain and drink two teaspoons three times a day, regardless of meals.
- Rinse the cinquefoil thoroughly together with the root, tear finely and fill a three-liter jar to half volume. Pour two bottles of good vodka, close the lid and leave in a dark cupboard for three weeks. Pour the strained tincture into a clean glass container. You should drink the tincture of saber a quarter of an hour before each meal, one spoon until the tincture is over.
- Many people have a tincture on lilac flowers at home. If you do not have it, prepare it and always keep it on hand - it is an excellent remedy for many joint problems. Drink it before meals, dripping thirty drops in a small amount of water. And it is not difficult to prepare. Take a lilac color, rinse and place in a glass jar to the top. Pour enough vodka to completely cover the lilacs. Leave to infuse for three weeks in a place inaccessible to sunlight.
- The healing properties of insanity are recognized by official medicine. It is part of the pharmacological preparations recommended for many diseases. Treating osteochondrosis with insanity is easy. The dried root should be ground to a powdery state and eaten one gram three times a day with warm water. You can make the infusion from crazier by taking a spoonful of ground roots, add them to two hundred and fifty ml of hot water. Send it for ten minutes in a steam bath. Take one hundred ml in the morning and evening.
- Buy cedar nuts, crush them and put them in a glass jar. Pour enough vodka so that it is about seven to eight inches above the nuts. Close and leave for seven days in the dark. Shake the nuts in the vodka every day. Strain the tincture from the raw materials. Treat with tincture, taking one tablespoon in the morning, at noon and in the evening.
- There is another version of the tincture of nuts. But they only need a shell. Crush two hundred grams of shells of smaller nuts and pour two bottles of high quality vodka in it. Strain after a month. Take two tablespoons of tincture on the shell thirty minutes before main meals.
- It is recommended to drink a decoction of the herbal collection in a glass in the morning and in the evening. It should be cooked every day. Pour fifty grams of chopped willow bark, forty grams of birch leaf and ten grams of buckwheat in half a liter of water. Bring to a boil and cook for ten minutes. After an hour, strain the broth and pamper yourself with health.
Miscellaneous
- Salt compress. Add a spoonful of sea salt to a liter of water, put on fire and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and, if the salt does not dissolve, stir until dissolved. - Squeeze horseradish juice, mix it with the same amount of vodka. Use this mixture to rub the cervical spine every night. Healers claim that this drug is a very powerful tool for relieving pain.
- To relieve the pain of osteochondrosis, fix the magnets on the cervical spine for an hour. Every magnet will do the job, even the one taken out of the fridge.
- Just as magnets, copper coins or plates of pure copper without impurities act on the pain. They should be attached along the entire length of the cervical vertebrae on both sides of the spine and left for up to eight hours. Most convenient - at night.
- There were no special spinal massagers in the past, and people who felt the need to work on the vertebrae used long round sticks to do so. You can take a shovel handle or something like that.
